Asphalt Replacement for a 48,000 sq ft Public Storage Facility
Lombard Exteriors provided a full asphalt replacement for a 36,000 square foot Public Storage facility in Amherst, NY. The project entailed installing a new storm drains and installing a new drainage system to facilitate the new storm drains. In addition, Lombard lay approximately 5,000 square feet of sealcoating in front of the secondary entrance to the facility. In addition, Lombard replaced nearly twelve bollards, which is standard in full asphalt replacement projects. This includes the new keypad style bollards as well. Specification for asphalt replacement typically entails removing and replacing nine inches of asphalt and sub-base. This includes 6” of sub-base repacked with a stone sub-base, and replacing three inches of asphalt in two 1.5” lifts (in some instances the ratio could be 2.5”/1.5”).
